Where Dreams May Take Me

In the Night

When I sleep

I cry out loudly to the Gods of my Forefathers

Cursing and crying and calling Their names

And I fight battles

I push back the Strongman

At my door

In my heart

And I cry

For the Death that sleeps near

At my breast

Suckling sweet Life from my body

Existing with me

On this earth

My friend

Till He has had His fill

My vessel, empty

At last, ready

To go Home
