Untitled/rough draft

Have you ever feared for your life
Not the fear of losing it
Afraid of it being taken away
By a man who you can’t trust
One you’ve stood by
And tried for
Long after your love has died for

Have you ever lay in bed at night
Waiting for the cold to kiss your temple
Amid sugar plum dreams
And all things that seem
As though you’ve not a care in this world
Who’s smile will the Ferryman bear
As he quietly takes you from here to There
Should you be brave enough to take a peek
Had you dared, one night, to drift off to sleep
